
Setting Up Mumble
Welcome to the information page for installing and using Mumble in Jane Doe.
First of all you need to download and install the latest version of Mumble. If your on Windows this is likely to be 1.2.3 (Stable). There are versions available for other operating systems too so check out the site.
Next you will need to open Mumble, this brings you to the 'Mumble server connect' page, at the bottom click on ADD NEW.
Now.... in the box entitled 'servername' type - Jane Doe
In the Address box type - mumble.janedoe.eu
In the Port box it should have a default number - 64738 (leave this alone)
And put your name in the Username box.
Press ok.
IMPORTANT - Setting up Push to talk
If you want to keep on good terms with your guildmates in Jane Doe, you are going to have to set up Push to talk.
To do this, press configure (in the top menu) , then... Settings > Audio Input > Transmission. Then from the Transmit drop down box select 'Push to talk' and press Apply (bottom Right corner).
Next you need to configure your push key. To do this, select 'Shortcuts' from the left hand menu. Then press ADD (at the bottom), and double click on the unnassigned shortcut you have created then select 'push to talk'.
Now right click under where it says shortcut on the push to talk shortcut you have created and press the key you would like to use for push to talk.
Now Press APPLY (bottom right) and then OK.
